All mediators are accredited by the Family Mediation Council, qualified to carry out MIAMs, and committed to ongoing professional development and supervision.
Your safety is a priority. Everyone working directly with clients holds an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.

MEET THE TEAM
MiD brings together mediators from a range of professional backgrounds, including business and law, working independently on a part-time basis. They are supported through regular clinical supervision with our Professional Practice Consultants. Child Inclusive Mediation (CIM) is at the heart of everything we do.

Simeon Costa
Simeon has developed strong skills throughout his career in managing conflict and complex situations.
Following his own experience of family mediation, he retrained as a mediator and now works full-time in the field. Simeon supports clients across all areas of family mediation, helping separating couples reach practical and constructive agreements.

Miriam Klinke
Miriam is an experienced family mediator. She focuses on helping clients find practical, cost-effective solutions that reduce stress and support them in moving forward.
She provides a calm and supportive environment where clients can communicate openly and work towards fair, sustainable outcomes tailored to their individual needs.

Mike Stepan
Mike became a mediator after a successful career in a service-based business, where he developed strong people and problem-solving skills.
He is known for his open-minded approach and ability to help clients explore both sides of a situation without judgement. Mike works with clients to break down complex issues – particularly around parenting and finances – so that clear, workable solutions can be achieved.

Helen Keville
Helen supports individuals and families from all backgrounds through the challenges of separation. She offers a calm and encouraging process, helping clients find their own way forward without the need for court proceedings.
She also recognises the importance of children’s perspectives and supports families in creating arrangements that work for everyone.

Gillian Krajewski
Gillian takes a structured and empathetic approach to mediation, guiding clients through a clear process from identifying issues to reaching agreement.
She supports clients to have focused, productive conversations, helping them stay in control of decisions and reach informed, mutually acceptable outcomes.

Kathleen Straub
Kathleen supports families to resolve sensitive or complex matters. She is committed to helping people explore options in a calm and balanced way, improve communication, moving away from conflict and working constructively towards new arrangements.
She keeps the wellbeing of children at the forefront of any conversation with the goal to find practical and realistic solutions that work for the whole family.

Fidelma McCarthy
Fidelma is committed to offering clients an alternative to the litigation process, to empower them to make decisions about their finances and children.
She particularly enjoys, and encourages, Child Inclusive Mediation, offering a voice to children in a confusing time.
Child Counsellors
Our child counsellors are qualified professionals with extensive experience supporting children and young people through a wide range of emotional and personal challenges.
Working independently on a part-time basis, they provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment where children can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. They are supported through regular clinical supervision and are committed to ongoing professional development.

Tory Dean
Tory is a child and adolescent psychotherapist, with experience of working in schools and private practice. She works in a warm and supportive way, using play and art therapy where appropriate, to gently understand what is going on in the child or young person’s life, and what might help them.

Carys Cole
Carys is an Integrative Counsellor who works with children and young people. She provides a safe, supportive and confidential space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.
Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred therapy, CBT, mindfulness and creative interventions, she helps clients build confidence, resilience and practical coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges with greater emotional wellbeing.
Adult & Couples Counsellor
Our adult & couples counsellor is a qualified and experienced practitioner who provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for individuals and couples to explore the challenges they are facing. Working independently on a part-time basis, they are supported through regular clinical supervision and are committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring clients receive the highest standard of care.

Rajni Knox
Rajni is a compassionate counsellor supporting young people (16+) and adults through life’s emotional challenges. She provides a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood and able to explore the issues that matter most to them.
Her approach is collaborative, empathic and tailored, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, confidence and resilience while working towards positive, lasting change.
